Intrust Super Cup

Come along and cheer on the two best Queensland Rugby League teams when they battle it out at Suncorp Stadium in the grand final of the Intrust Super Cup on Sunday 27 September.

The Intrust Super Cup is a state wide Rugby League Competition controlled by the Queensland Rugby League and is widely recognised as the next best Rugby League competition in the country behind the National Rugby League competition.

Participating teams number 16, with teams from Brisbane and all over Queensland, including one team from Papua New Guinea.

9.  Take them to Brisbane Gardens at Roma Street Parklands, City Botanic Gardens or Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha.

Brisbane City Parks & Gardens

There are a number of parks and gardens in and around Brisbane City that are worth exploring during your stay in Brisbane. 

 

These include:

Boondall Wetlands Walk

Take a guided nature walk to discover the hidden treasures of Boondall Wetlands Reserve. On the walk you will learn some interesting facts about the wetlands and their flora and fauna; and find out why Boondall Wetlands Reserve and its ‘sister wetlands’ in Yatsu-Higata Tidelands in Japan, are both crucial wetlands for the thousands of migratory shorebirds that travel between Asia and Moreton Bay each year.

Walks are held on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year and start from Boondall Wetlands Environmental Centre at 31 Paperbark Drive, Boondall.

Brisbane Whale Watching

 

Did you know that you can head out to the majestic Moreton Bay on a day tour to see the gentle giants of the sea - the Humpback Whales?

 

Each year the magnificent Southern Humpback Whales migrate to and from Antarctica.
