Brisbane is celebrating its connections with Asia by hosting BrisAsia Festival throughout the city next month. The festival comprises of traditional and contemporary Asian arts and cultural events all over Brisbane commencing Friday 5 February to Sunday 29 February.
For the art lovers there are many exhibits of local artists that identify with Asian heritage, hands on workshops and Yum Chat. Dance under the stars to local and Asian DJs and VJs at the Neon Pop street party at South Bank.
For foodies there is a Taste of Asia which will allow you to experience delectable Asian delights in Reddacliff Place in the city. Work it off later by participating in a traditional Tai Chi class in the park near you, or a Karate self defence class.
China Town in Fortitude Valley will burst alive in a colourful spectacle for the celebrations of Chinese Lunar New Year.
