Chung Tian Temple

Visit Southeast Queensland’s most beautiful Buddhist temple, constructed in 1992 using the traditional Chinese colours of the Emporers, red and gold.

Guided tours are available for groups of 8 or more and bookings are essential, visitors are welcome at the temple without a guide at anytime during opening hours.

Come for worship, observe the beautiful architecture and grounds, delight in cultural artworks at the Chung Tian Art Gallery and enjoy a light refreshment at Water Drop Tea House.

Daisy Hill Koala Centre

This is great FREE day out for the family, the centre is dedicated to koala education and features a large outdoor koala enclosure as well as interactive displays. The koalas can be viewed from two different boardwalks and you can climb the observation tower to get a koala’s view of the world.

Daisy Hill wildlife officers deliver keeper talks twice a day providing information about the resident koalas, you can watch informative films and learn about how to keep koalas safe in your backyard.

Beenleigh Artisan Distillers

Welcomes you to Australia’s oldest registered distillery, learn about the history of this bold enterprise that has been serving Australian rum to Australians since 1884. Beenleigh rum is handcrafted in oak brady barrels giving a distinct, velvet smooth finish.

Beenleigh Historical Village

Go on a trip back in time, see early Australia memorabilia, collections and buildings constructed by the early pioneers of Australia that have been lovingly preserved and restored. You can hire an MP3 player for a self-guided tour of the Village and enjoy the fascinating history and stories of the buildings and pioneers. View professional, local artwork on display at The Gallery in the Corridor, all available for purchase. Once you have taken in all the history you can it will be time for scones and jam at the Village Café, serving breakfast, lunch, tea and coffee.
